WIG Diversity Awards

The Women in Gaming Diversity Awards, launched in 2010, has firmly established itself as the premier global event celebrating diversity within the gaming industry. Mark your calendars for June 5, 2025, when the prestigious ceremony will unfold at the iconic Savoy Hotel in London.

Clever Duck Media, the dedicated hosts and organizers of this charitable initiative, report a surge in nominations, with entries expected to surpass last year’s figures and potentially set a new all-time record.

Lana Thompson, co-founder of the WIG Diversity Awards, stated, “The WIG has become the foundational event for diversity and inclusion within our industry, which began in 2010 when companies were just beginning to engage with this vital subject. Over the years, the WIG Awards has transformed into the globally respected event that celebrates the diverse fabric of our industry.”

This year, an impressive array of leading companies supports this essential initiative, including online gaming giants such as Betsson, Digitain, Playtech, Relax Gaming, Pronet Gaming, Light & Wonder, Greentube, as well as IGT and Gamomat, with more participating organizations to be revealed.

Betsson Group stands out as a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the online gaming sector. “We are proud to sponsor the ‘Women in Gaming, Diversity and Employee Wellbeing Awards,’” said Lena Nordin, Chief HR Officer at Betsson Group. “This partnership aligns seamlessly with our mission to foster a more inclusive and diverse industry where every individual has the potential to succeed.”

“By sponsoring this event, we reaffirm我们的 commitment to these values and actively engage with an initiative that celebrates extraordinary female professionals, who can inspire and serve as crucial role models for younger women pursuing careers in our industry or aspiring to enter it,” Nordin added. “At Betsson Group, we recognize that diversity is paramount to the success of our sector; consequently, we are delighted to support the Women in Gaming awards once again. We hope this event spurs other organizations to embrace our commitment to diversity and inclusion, catalyzing similar initiatives within their own teams and beyond.”
