Victor “Reysbull” Duran Leaves Complexity

Complexity Gaming has officially announced the departure of their longest-tenured Rocket League player, Victor “Reysbull” Duran, concluding a notable three-year journey within the organization. This latest development follows the team’s lackluster performance at the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major, where Complexity, representing North America’s fourth seed, faced an unfortunate early elimination.
In the Swiss Stage, Complexity struggled significantly, suffering defeats against formidable opponents, including Dignitas, FURIA, and Twisted Minds, with a solitary win against Team Secret. This performance raised questions regarding team dynamics and individual contributions.
Today, we bid farewell to our longest-standing RL member. @ReysbullWRLD has been with us for over three years, representing COL at Majors and Worlds. Unfortunately, years of living away from home have taken their toll, and we mutually agreed it was best to part ways. We’ll always cherish the memories made together… pic.twitter.com/KTFHIFT1UZ

It’s important to note that Reysbull’s exit was not directly related to his performance during this, or any, season. As both parties noted in their announcement, the decision stemmed from personal circumstances impacting Reysbull’s well-being. In a heartfelt post on X, he shared, “With my current situation concerning the game, I am eager to improve. The truth is that being away from home, and my family, impacted me significantly; I found it difficult to detach from the game, which affected my mental health. It’s understandable, considering how long I’ve been away.” His transparency highlights the often-overlooked mental health aspect of professional gaming.
The Chilean prodigy began his esports career in early 2018, signing his first contract with Oxey in the summer of 2019. Following a brief tenure with the Argentinian squad, Reysbull transitioned to AION Esports and eventually teamed up with True Neutral in 2020. It was with True Neutral that Reysbull carved out his reputation as one of the premier talents in the South American Rocket League scene, clinching victories in all three RLCS Season X splits, as well as the RLCS Season X South American Championship.
Shortly thereafter, Complexity Gaming recognized his talent and acquired the True Neutral roster — including notable players Facundo “shad” Vallerino, Lautaro Francisco “ajg” Gusinsky, and coach Lucas “Agüesome” Rodriguez — reestablishing their presence in the Rocket League competitive circuit in 2022. Throughout his tenure with Complexity, Reysbull successfully navigated numerous roster changes and was instrumental in guiding the team to several deep runs in premier RLCS events. His significant contributions include leading Complexity to victory in the RLCS 2022-23 NA Spring Open and the RLCS 2024 Major 1 SAM Open Qualifier 1, as well as advancing to the semifinals of the RLCS 2022-23 Winter Split Major.
While the 21-year-old has not yet confirmed his next destination, he has expressed a desire to continue competing, preferably with a team closer to home. This choice reflects a growing trend among professional players who prioritize personal well-being alongside their competitive aspirations, underscoring the evolving landscape of the esports industry.
In conclusion, Reysbull’s departure marks not only the end of an era for Complexity but also serves as a reminder of the complexities players face in balancing their careers with personal lives. As the esports scene continues to evolve, the emphasis on mental health and player support will likely become increasingly paramount.
