SPA lifts suspensions for five betting operators

The Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) has successfully reinstated five operator licenses following the submission of necessary technical documentation by the concerned companies.
This reinstatement comes after initial suspensions, reported last Friday, which were enacted due to operators’ non-compliance with security assessment report requirements for their betting systems, as stipulated by Normative Ordinance No. 722. Adhering to these regulations is crucial for maintaining integrity and transparency within the gambling industry.
On Monday, both Logame do Brasil Ltda and Sortenabet Gaming Brasil SA had their licenses restored after presenting the required evaluations. The ordinance mandates that operators submit certified reports on their betting systems within a strict 90-day window after receiving their license. This ensures that platforms meet industry standards and operate securely.
Last week, two other operators, EA Entretenimento e Esportes and Bet.Bet Soluções Tecnológicas SA, complied promptly with the necessary regulations. In an interesting twist, Pixbet obtained a court injunction to regain its license, attributed to its sponsorship of Flamengo football club—highlighting the unique challenges faced by unlicensed brands, which are prohibited from sponsoring sporting events in Brazil.
As it stands, Bell Ventures Digital Ltda and Betesporte Online Betting Ltda remain suspended. However, the reinstatement allows brands under Logame do Brasil, including LiderBet, GeralBet, and B2xBet, as well as Sortenabet, featuring SorteNaBet, Betou, and BetFusion, to resume their operations. This development signifies a step toward operational stability in the Brazilian online betting landscape, reflecting the evolving regulatory environment and the importance of compliance in securing a foothold in the market.
