The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) recently announced an unprecedented milestone in the state’s gaming landscape, revealing a staggering total revenue of $574,534,002 for March 2025. This impressive figure marks a dramatic increase over the previous record of $554,625,294 set in March 2024, underscoring the robust growth trajectory of the gaming sector in Pennsylvania.

Record Growth in iGaming Revenues

A standout component of the March revenue report was the iGaming sector, which delivered a remarkable $238,220,161 in gross revenue. This represents an increase of more than $47 million compared to March 2024’s revenue of $191,086,114. Notably, the performance of online casino games not only eclipsed last year’s figures but also surpassed the previous monthly peak of $223,652,312 set in December 2024.     • Total gaming revenue tax for March 2025 reached $244,333,995.
    • Retail slots revenue was the highest at $222,499,993, albeit reflecting a dip of 2.37% compared to March 2024’s revenue of $227,891,331.
    • The number of operational slot machines decreased to 24,373 in March 2025, down from 24,886 the previous year.
    • Retail table games generated $81,891,242, a decline of 3.91% from March 2024, contributing $13,711,363 in tax revenue.

iGaming Market Dynamics

The strong momentum in iGaming signals a sustained interest in virtual gaming options. The growth of 24.67% from the previous year highlights a growing demographic that increasingly prefers online gaming experiences. Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course was the leading iGaming operator, reporting $90,742,972 in revenue, followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort with $64,783,597.

Sports Betting Landscape

March 2025 also saw significant activity in sports betting, with total wagering reaching $842,856,961, a 5.26% increase from the $800,718,332 reported in March 2024.
