Clarion Gaming is set to unveil an exciting lineup of standalone esports tournaments this September, featuring a substantial £100,000 prize pool at the renowned ICE London event.

This anticipated series will feature in-person Dota 2 tournaments designed specifically for the betting community. Kicking off on September 3, the inaugural weekend will showcase four elite teams competing in a double-elimination format, expertly managed by Black Molly Entertainment.

“With Dota 2 boasting over seven million monthly active players and the rapid escalation of esports betting, these tournaments provide sponsors a unique opportunity to connect with a fervent yet elusive fan base,” stated Will Harding, Head of Esports at Clarion Gaming.

The tournaments will feature betting-centric broadcasts, live-streamed in four languages, allowing operators and payment providers to selectively sponsor streams that align with their specific marketing goals.

Comprehensive details about the event will be disclosed at ICE London 2022, taking place from April 12-14 at ExCeL London. Clarion has indicated that teams and casters will be meticulously selected to align with the target demographics of their partners.

Additionally, Clarion has forged a strategic partnership with IMG to enhance the September tournaments. “We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with IMG to support the launch of these competitions and expand our service offerings to clients,” said Harding. “There is significant interest from brands outside the betting realm to sponsor these events, and IMG is the ideal partner to broaden the scope of the Dota 2 Global All-Stars tournament. This partnership will encompass brand licensing deals, media distribution, esport consultancy, brand partnerships, and live event production.”

“IMG already manages integrated services for some of the most prestigious esports betting tournaments, making them an invaluable asset,” he added.

During ICE London 2022, Clarion will also host a Rocket League tournament with a prize pool of £25,000 (€30,000/$33,100), featuring prominent esports personalities. Attendees will have the opportunity to place bets on the tournament using ICE Esports Arena chips, further engaging the gaming community.
