The Call of Duty League (CDL) has recently unveiled significant modifications for the upcoming stage, announcing the addition of two new maps to the Search & Destroy pool. These updates are pivotal as they reflect the league’s commitment to adapting the competitive landscape in response to community feedback and gameplay dynamics.

The newly introduced maps, Rewind and Dealership, replace Skyline and Vault. This update marks the second adjustment to the map pool within the 2025 Call of Duty esports season, and notably, it’s not the first time professional players will engage with Rewind—this map was previously pulled from the competitive lineup during CDL 2025 Stage 1 when Hacienda was integrated across all game modes.

On the opposite end, Dealership has yet to make its mark in the competitive scene, having only been introduced during Season 2 of Black Ops 6. It features a classic three-lane structure, which is expected to enhance the strategic depth essential for Search & Destroy gameplay.

This transition has drawn mixed reactions from professional players. The decision to eliminate Vault and Skyline has generally aligned with community sentiments regarding the need for greater watchability and strategic variation in competitive matches.

Despite the criticism, both maps were showcased prominently during the recently concluded CDL 2025 Major 2 event, culminating in a victory for Atlanta FaZe. During this tournament, Vault was utilized in matches 13 times, whereas Skyline saw action 10 times, with only Hacienda (16) and Protocol (15) being more frequently selected.

Looking ahead, Rewind is set to return while Dealership will debut on April 4, as part of the first round of the CDL 2025 Major 3 Qualifiers. As the league continues to evolve, fans and players are eager to see how these map changes will influence strategies and gameplay dynamics.
