Caesars Entertainment to Transform Harveys Lake Tahoe Into Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino

Caesars Entertainment is set to elevate the gambling landscape in Stateline, Nevada, with the transformation of Harveys Lake Tahoe into the new Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino this summer. With a budget of $160 million, this renovation promises to redefine hospitality with modernized hotel accommodations, enhanced dining experiences, and state-of-the-art gaming options.
Official Transition to Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe on July 1
Guests can anticipate a reimagined resort that encapsulates the essence of the Lake Tahoe experience. The property will remain operational throughout the renovation process, with July 1 serving as the official date for its debut as Caesars Republic.
“Lake Tahoe is an extraordinary destination, and we are thrilled to introduce a world-class resort that complements its natural beauty,” stated Anthony Carano, President and Chief Operating Officer of Caesars Entertainment. “The transformation has commenced, and we expect it to continue through 2026, featuring an all-new hotel tower, an upgraded hotel lobby, fantastic dining options, and a redefined casino that will be available to our guests this summer.”
“Our second phase will kick off in the fall, with the entire project projected to be completed by next summer. With its fresh aesthetic and modern ambiance, Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe is poised to usher in a new era of luxury in the region, and we’re excited for our guests to experience this extraordinary transformation.”
Innovative Gaming Experiences Await at Caesars Republic
The expansive 1.6 million-square-foot resort, designed by the renowned Marnell Companies, will see extensive renovations starting at the hotel lobby and extending throughout the gaming floor and accommodations. The casino, featuring an 88,000-square-foot floor plan, will boast new carpeting, upgraded lighting, modern furniture, and cutting-edge digital displays to enhance the gaming environment.
Among the highlights will be the introduction of state-of-the-art slot machines, a newly designed High Limit Room, and a dedicated World Series of Poker Room. The remodeling efforts will also include a complete overhaul of the rooms in the Remus Tower (previously known as the Mountain Tower), and exclusive butler services for select suites across both hotel towers, creating an unparalleled luxury experience.
The adjacent Romulus Tower, formerly the Tahoe Tower, is already undergoing renovations following its full remodel in 2020, ensuring a cohesive and elevated guest experience.
Dining options will see exciting additions, including the newly designed lobby bar, Cleo’s Coffee and Cocktails, as well as WOLF by Vanderpump, alongside a recently expanded Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen. These enhancements are designed to offer guests a variety of culinary delights that elevate their overall experience at the resort.
Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe will mark the second venue under the Caesars Republic brand to emerge in a two-year span, following the successful launch of Caesars Republic Scottsdale, a Hilton Hotel. Renovation work at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe is expected to persist throughout 2025, temporarily halting during the summer peak season, with an anticipated completion timeline set for mid-2026.
