Hugo Baungartner has recently assumed the position of Chief Business Officer and Executive Director of Institutional Relations and Strategic Partnerships at Esportes Gaming Brasil, the parent company of Esportes da Sorte and Onabet brands.
In his new capacity, Baungartner is prioritizing high-stakes regulatory and institutional engagements, representing the group before essential industry stakeholders, including the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets, the Federal Revenue Service, and the Central Bank of Brazil.
“My primary objective is to cultivate relationships with institutional stakeholders and regulators while spearheading compliance initiatives and structuring strategic partnerships and projects,” Baungartner states. “This focus is crucial for consolidating our presence in Brazil’s burgeoning regulated market.”
Esportes da Sorte secured its license for the newly regulated Brazilian betting market in January, and by March, H2 Gambling Capital recognized the brand as one of the top ten operators in terms of market share.
Previously, Baungartner served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Brazilian operator Aposta Ganha, where he played a pivotal role in the company becoming one of the first to obtain full licensing in Brazil, positioning it among industry leaders such as Bet365 and Betano.
